They come unlubed from the factory and is very smooth. An unlubed switch is a massive benefit as you are far more likely to lube the switches uniformly.

This switch is an amazing switch it only needs to be lubed because of the very low stem wobble. The very first batch of these switches I bought was great unlike the gat inks I bought from a different store the gat inks were inconstant compared to the hippo switches.
If your building a keyboard for the first time I would recommend this as a good linear to go for because of how good it is when lubed and that the springs are easy to remove string ping and there is very little to no spring crunch.
They look great, feel great and sound really good, quite a muted sound, I normally use silent switches and these are quite discreet. Lubed them Krytox GPL 205g0, they didn't need films at all.
